Is there a cost to join?No, participation is completely free for schools, students, and families.

How does the App work?Students, parents and teachers can download the app for free, register and then start walking. The app will automatically track and record steps and when they reach 10,000 steps they will be able to plant a tree.

How do we sign up?We're invite only right now so please contact us at hello@stepsfortrees.com and we can discuss getting you set you.

Where and how are the trees planted?Trees are planted by our partner Tree Nation in tree planting projects and initiative around the world. Tree Nation verify and certify every tree and a certificate is provided for each tree a user plants which can be viewed in the Forest.

Is any special equipment needed?No, just a smartphone using Android or iPhone. All steps can be tracked and recorded by the phone which will lso work in sleep mode.
