Steps for Trees encourages walking and translates your steps into environmental action, such as tree planting. Users can:

  • Track steps and environmental impact.

  • Join or create groups, invite others, and participate in community challenges.

  • Access offers from brand partners and affiliates.

  • Compete in leaderboards and earn rewards.
     

4. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • You may not create an account using false information or on behalf of someone else.
     

5. Community Features

  • Users may create, join, and invite others to groups.

  • All group interactions must comply with our Community Guidelines (see Section 14).

  • We reserve the right to moderate or remove groups or users that violate these Terms or our Guidelines.
     

6. Affiliate Relationships & Commissions

  • Steps for Trees partners with third-party affiliates and brand partners.

  • We may receive commissions, referral fees, or other compensation when users engage with offers, visit affiliate websites, or make purchases online or in-store through the Service.

  • These commissions support our mission and app operations.
     

Affiliate Disclosure

Some links, offers, or promotions featured in the Service are affiliate links. When you click on these links or redeem offers, we may earn a commission or referral fee at no additional cost to you.

10. Tree Planting & Environmental Impact

  • Trees are planted via our partnership with Tree Nation or other approved partners.

  • We aim to provide transparent reporting on trees planted, but actual impact may vary due to factors outside our control.

  • In the event of supply issues or partner limitations, we may temporarily increase the steps required per tree or limit new sign-ups.
     

11. Premium Features

  • Steps for Trees may offer premium features or memberships in the future, subject to additional terms.
     

12. Intellectual Property

  • All content, branding, and materials provided by Steps for Trees are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or use our materials without written permission.
     

13. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

  • Attempt to manipulate step counts or environmental impact data.

  • Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to access or interact with the Service.

  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or groups.
     

14. Community Guidelines

  • Respect others in all group and community interactions.

  • Do not post or share offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content.

  • Follow all instructions from moderators and admins.

  • Violation of these guidelines may result in suspension or termination of your account.
     

15. Limitation of Liability

  • Steps for Trees is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your interactions with third-party affiliates, including purchases, redemptions, or participation in offers.

  • We are not responsible for technical issues, data loss, or interruptions to the Service.
